1. The Berthelot Manor
The mansion draws its name from the name of the French general Henri Berthelot, who possessed a residence and agricultural land there from King Ferdinand I and Queen Mary of Romania in gratitude for the contribution of the French Army to the liberation of Romania.

At his death in 1927, General Henri Mathias Berthelot left to the Romanian Academy the agricultural farm in the locality, willing to use the proceeds of his exploitation to finance a scholarship for young students at the Military School in Bucharest for improvement at Nancy Military Academy.

It is currently the private property of the Romanian Academy and hosts the Center for Sustainable Development "Hațeg-Retezat Country", a public space of local interest.
