1. Natural Reserve "Tecuri Cave" (2 ha)
The Natural Reserve Peștera Tecuri (Tecuri Cave) is located in the Natural Park Grădiştea Muncelului - Cioclovina, in the Baru commune of Hunedoara County. It is included in the fourth category of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature, being declared a protected area due to the spectacular formations.
Tecuri Cave was discovered by mistake by a man from Crivadia in 1947.
It is located on the left bank of the Strei River and is about 500 meters long.
Its altitude is 920 meters and the entrance is through a 12-meter aven.
It is of particular scientific interest, especially since it has not yet been fully explored.

The Tecuri Nature Reserve is recognized for coral and stalagmite formations, but also for microcrystal.
Moreover, in this cave there is one of the most interesting and spectacular stalagmite on the territory of our country.
It has a height of seven meters and a white color with pink reflections.

2. Other objectives
Karstic areas Lola Limestone - Valea Streiului km 6-12, vertical limestone walls about 250 m on one side and the other of the streams of beauty, which are unique to sight and carry legends that are lost in the darkness of time. Lola cleanț bears the story of a local girl who, following an invasion of the Turks, was thrown out of the high rock.

Cascadele Șipotului - natural water drops coming out of the carst on the left slope of the Strei, whose wildness urges you to meditate and admire all that nature can do, access by car on the forest road Valea Streiului at about 7 km from DN 66. The waterfall Springs somewhere in the mountain slopes and after crossing the Tecuri Plateau enters into the underground and through the cave "springs" back into the rock wall of the Strei Valley.

The Keys of the Bar with access on the forest road Baru about 3 km from the center of the commune offers a great scenery of some canions in the Retezat's lap.

Fântâna Bulbucului: Geological phenomenon by the appearance of a "limestone" limestone in the shale of the carrier mountain of a spring with a constant flow (captured for water supply). Auto access about 2 km on Valea Muncelului and on the mountain trail (about 1 km).

Dacian Fortresses in the mountains of Orăștie (Sarmisegetusa) - access to forest roads on Valea Streiului only by terrain cars and also you will nedd a guide, for about 50 - 80 km.
