1. Cinciș Lake
Lake Cinciş is a reservoir lake in Hunedoara County. Lake Cinciş is one of the largest lakes in Transylvania, with a depth of 48m and an area of approximately 200 ha. It is located in the south-western part of Romania, 15 km away from Hunedoara.
The peak tourist season stretches from the beginning of June until the end of August. The average water temperature is 18° C. making swimming possible.

The main tourist attractions are fishing, water sports, sightseeing in the area.

The northern shore of the lake is made up of beaches, while the southern shore is made up of hills and forests. Around the lake there are 2 campsites, 3 motels and several boarding houses, numerous villas (private or for renting), a bowling alley, etc.
During the communist era, the authorities moved the village of Cinciș to set up a reservoir, an occasion with which 150 families were forced to leave their homes. And when the waters began to cover the village, two churches where flooded into the new lake, with cemeteries and with everything. Soon the villagers began to notice strange phenomena in the area.

The area has been known since 1964, when the artificial lake was formed.

Numerous accommodation and holiday homes are built in the area. There is also a camping where you can practice fishing and canoeing.

Besides the campsite or the pensions in the area, the Cinciş Motel is an elegant solution for accommodation and dining.
